Glucose syrup is often used as a synonym for corn syrup, since glucose syrup is most commonly made from corn starch. However, technically, any liquid starch hydrolysate of mono, di, and higher saccharides can be glucose syrup, and can be obtained from any starch source, mostly wheat, rice and potatoes.
