This material is now produced with different purity percentages and as A petrochemical intermediate is used. Today, it is produced by the reaction of ammonia with ethylene oxide, which occurs in the presence of water and in the liquid phase and is heat-generating. Water increases the rate of reaction and prepares it. The reaction has a purity above 99%.
